Lucas and Zac Talk || 3 Mar 2006
Raul: Lucas we’re back here again with High School Musical, but today’s a little different.

Lucas Grabeel: Yeah, yeah we’ve got some dancers in here. We’re showing the kids how to really get the moves down so everyone can dance along to the movie. It’s great, we’re having a lot of fun.

Raul: What’s it like for you to be on the Billboard Charts with the Soundtrack?

Lucas Grabeel: It is absolutely amazing ya know I started singing… ah singing is what got me into acting and it’s crazy that once I moved out to Los Angeles I thought that it wouldn’t be a part of my life as much anymore but then here it goes, it’s just out of nowhere and I had no idea it was gonna have this much success. It’s great.

Raul: I would imagine when you hear the music on the radio or any place now and realize wait, that’s me, I’m part of this and this is something that’s ya know, not many artists have that many hits on the charts at one time like you guys are having now. That must be an amazing feeling for you.

Lucas Grabeel: It is, ya know with the album going Gold and all of these kids just going crazy and all the iTunes downloads and everything. It’s insane. You never thought that, but the great part about it is that ya know these kids are getting something that this generation doesn’t really have. We don’t have a Grease, or Footloose, or a Flashdance in this generation. And it’s great that they have something that’s readily available to all these kids and so they can download the music and listen to the things. Now that they can learn that dances and watch it at home, and soon they’ll be able to buy it on DVD and then they’ll have some part of music, because music is so important especially in a child’s life.

Raul: Now High School Musical has really turned into a monster, how does it feel?

Zac Efron: Oh it feels amazing! It’s great to be a part of the whole project from start to finish it’s the coolest thing that I’ve done to this day.

Raul: Now we’re back here today, we’re teaching people how to do that dance moves.

Zac Efron: Yes, teaching people how to look like us in the movie.

Raul: And you ah, you had to I imagine had to freshen up just a little bit since it’s been a while since you’ve done the dances.

Zac Efron: Yeah, we got to go through rehearsal yesterday and ah, fine tune all the memories. Ya know, these dances were crammed in the back of my head somewhere. I just had to bring them out again, it’s not too bad.

Raul: And it’s kinda of like a little reunion here with the four main cast members back together again.

Zac Efron: Yes, definitely we all get to come together and do these little things it’s really fun to see everyone.
